Finish setting up your appliance

Welcome to your TurnKey gitlab appliance!

Complete setup to choose your application passwords and install security updates. This page protects the application until setup is complete.

Using Proxmox?

Open your container's Console and log in as root with the password you chose when creating the container. Setup should open automatically.

If you reach a shell prompt, start setup with:

turnkey-init

Keep this protection enabled while completing setup. Stopping the fence service does not configure the application passwords.

After initialization reload this page. Instead of this message, you'll be able to access your server as expected.

Connect using SSH instead

The recommended SSH client is OpenSSH - although there are other options. On Windows, you may need to set up OpenSSH first. On Linux and MacOS it should already be available.

SSH with a password

If you set a root password pre-launch, open a terminal and type the command:

ssh root@example.com

Then enter your password.

SSH with a key pair

If you registered a key-pair pre-launch, you may need to provide the path to your private key as well. Do that with the -i switch - like this:

ssh -i path/to/private/key root@example.com

Complete initialization

Complete the initialization steps as prompted. If setup does not open, run turnkey-init at the shell prompt.

Once your server has been initialized, reloading this page - or browsing to https://example.com - will take you to your server's main page.
